Between Steeles Avenue and Highway 407, Yonge Street acts as the border between Vaughan (which sits to the west) and Markham (which sits to the east). If traversing this stretch of Yonge Street, one will arrive at a street called Royal Orchard Boulevard. Walk about twenty metres east and, boom, Inverlochy Boulevard. A bit south, on the west side of Ol' Inverlochy, you arrive at The Thornhill Orchards. In building fifty, seven unofficial floors up from the ground, right across from the elevator is Unit 706. Our little slice of pie up high in the sky. Home ownership. We did it!
Since we didn't officially move in until later in the month (you painted the entire darn place yourself!), you'll have to see the post below. But first, some Ol' Billy B!@#$ Tits (aka Bill Burr)!
It took a while and was a wee bit exhausting (as in, us looking at like 15 places), but in the end we found the perfect place to make us proud homeowners. Of course, it has been nothing short of an adventure so far with pipes bursting and loud fans and part
of the garage collapsed and they renovated the lobby/elevator (which looks decent, but it was a noisy reno!) and a lackluster attempt by the previous owner to renovate the condo...I wonder what will happen next! [Update: balconies being renovated - extreme noise and dust all day. Update 2: balcony project has been going on for a long time. There was a brief break as we are now amidst a pandemic and most people (not Kate) are working from home. But now the noise has begun again. Sheesh.]

It's such a wonderful place that famous artist Tex Lecor painted it.
